Christian Formation
Children's Christian Formation
On Sunday mornings, children meet in the Center for lessons based on the scriptural readings assigned for that Sunday. This brings the lessons for parents and children together so that families may discuss and explore them together. Following the class, children will be escorted to church to join their parents during the Peace and to share in the Holy Eucharist. |
Other Christian Education Classes
Enabling spiritual growth is foundational to St. Mark's mission, and we rely on The Episcopal Church's values of scripture, tradition, and reason in the development of our curriculum. Adult education classes are taught by Reverend Pam and others. These classes include Sunday and weekday opportunities to deepen our faith as we journey together. See our Events calendar for any current offerings. |
Sacred Ground
The Episcopal Church's long-term commitment to racial healing, reconciliation, and justice - becoming Beloved Community - is a commitment we all must share. Sacred Ground, a multi-week course focused on our country's history of race and racism, is helping St. Mark's define how awareness will animate action and action, in turn, change. In the final session of the Sacred Ground program, participants are encouraged to consider how they might live into a long-term commitment dedicated to racial justice, healing, and reconciliation. All are asked to listen to the Holy Spirit for discernment, and pray, in the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., for imagination. The St. Mark’s Scholarship is one result of this call to action. For more on the Scholarship Fund, please see the Endowment page under the Giving tab above.
