Academic Year Sunday Schedule
Summer Sunday Schedule (now until Sep. 7)
Sundays Academic YearHoly Eucharist - During the academic year (September - May), Holy Eucharist is celebrated at 9:00am and 11:00am. The 9:00am livestreamed service is offered via a link found above and on the Home page of this website.
Sunday School - On Sundays during the academic year, a class is offered for children aged K-lower elementary during the 11 a.m. service. Children meet in the Center for lessons based on the scriptural readings assigned for that Sunday. This brings the lessons for parents and children together so that families may discuss and explore them as a family. Following the class, children are escorted to the church to join their parents during the Peace. Sunday School is suspended during the Summer Schedule. Nursery - A year-round nursery for infants and children through age 3 is available during the 11am service. The nursery is located in St. Mark's Center, 1110A Paris Ave., Port Royal. Wednesdays
St. Mark's offers a weekly Service of Healing and Hope, which includes Holy Eucharist, on Wednesdays at 12:00pm in the church. This provides a relaxed alternative for those absent from home on the weekends and for those seeking prayers for healing and support. |
Liturgy
St. Mark's provides service bulletins so that all can follow the readings and prayers taken from the Bible, The Book of Common Prayer, and other approved liturgies of The Episcopal Church. Music Hymns during services are from both The Hymnal 1982 and its addendum Wonder Love and Praise. Sacramental OfferingsBaptism
Baptism is one of the primary sacraments of The Episcopal Church. Through full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit we become members of Christ’s body, the Church, creating a bond that is indissoluble. Baptism is appropriate for any age. For further information and to schedule a baptism, please contact the church office. Marriage One of the most challenging and rewarding of human relationships, marriage is meant to be lived out in a community of faith where it can be nurtured and supported by others. For further information on marriage in the Episcopal Church and a wedding at St. Mark’s in particular, please contact the church office. |
